Turkish/English Translation
Turkish/English Translation Services are aimed at helping professionals from all fields find solutions to their Turkish/English translation needs. No matter what your project is - complex documents such as legal and business contracts to simpler texts like product brochures and reports - with EDI you will find prompt professional service at an affordable price. We have done English/Turkish translations ranging from legal texts for the European Union to treatises on the life and teachings of Buddha!

Those of us who travel abroad appreciate the subtleties of language. These subtleties are what make translation challenging. We have all seen the menus offering "Rich kinds of tasting cuisine". This sentence may be understandable but if you had just spent $250K opening a ritzy restaurant on the Mediterranean coast, you would not want this on the front of your menu. These types of mistakes are often quaint but never quite achieve the desired effect. In fact, the lack of professionalism is often scoffed at.

No one makes these mistakes on purpose, but any particular language is like a tapestry woven over generations by the collective culture of a people. It is a on-going project of enormous value to its speakers and is continually being added to by their sharpest and most creative minds. There will be a word or phrase for literally every situation that their forefathers ever encountered. And, every new generation adds to this rich tapestry words and idioms of its own. It is no wonder that even the best non-native speakers frequently make what appear to be unforgivable translation mistakes. Language is positively brimming with subtle nuances that only native speakers recognize.

Formal education in linguistics, coupled with years of experience in translation have convinced us that native speaker intuition is an indispensable part of the translation process. At EDI all of our Turkish/English translations are done by a translating team made up of at least one native speaker of the target language together with a native speaker of the source language to ensure that your message is conveyed accurately, flawlessly and in an effective culturally appropriate way. This is also why EDI only does translations in one language pair - English/Turkish. No one can be excellent at everything, and at EDI excellence is something we refuse to compromise on.

Our translation office is located in Ankara, Turkey. Robert Johnson - M.A. in linguists from the University of Texas Arlington - supervises all translation for Turkish/English projects. You may write to him at translation@eagledatainc.com with questions or to get a quote for your project. Top of the page.

Basic Rates for Turkish/English Translation
Original Language Target Language Translation Rate*
Turkish English 0.08 US$ / word
English Turkish 0.06 US$ / word

These are the basic rates for translation projects. The reason for the differences in price between English-Turkish and Turkish-English translations is that Turkish is an agglutinating language where one word can often be a complete sentence. Specific rates may vary due to a wide range of factors such as the subject matter, required format and the deadline. Discounts may be given for large projects. Use the form below to send us the text that you want translated. If you think that your project may be unusually technical or qualify as a text long enough to warrant a discount you and want an exact price analysis, note this in the "Further Comments" section.
